Last week, the 7th Grade History Department had guest speaker Dr. Angela Adams from UCA come and speak to their students about National History Day. National History Day is a competition where students present research on a theme. This year's theme is "Turning Points in History."
Attention RMS families, we are having an interest meeting for Quiz Bowl on Thursday from 3:15 PM - 3:45 PM in the library. This will be for 6th and 7th grade students.

Brody Gommer has been a great example of kindness, empathy, and hard work. For this reason, Brody has been selected as the first backup for Office Harris for the Month of September.
Congratulations to Emerson Brown and Daniel Romero, the RMS 6th Grade Girls and Boys Rock Paper Scissors Champions! The Assistant Principals turned inside recess into something entertaining for our students. Ultimately Daniel Romero beat Mr. Farr and is officially the overall 6th grade champ!

6th grade science is beginning their unit on thermal energy. They kicked off the unit with an investigation that measures the change in temperature using two different types of lighting, a fancy cup, a regular cup, ice, and water. We are looking forward to learning more about this topic!
