Upcoming 7th Grade Boys Basketball tryouts will be held today through the 11th from 5 - 6 PM in the RMS Gym. Students need to have a current physical in order to tryout.

Mr. Ball’s Reading Strategies class celebrated Star Wars Day as part of their daily “good things”. May the 4th be with you!

Come support the Cyclone Quiz Bowl team's trip to Nationals. Drop by Burger King East Main between 10 am and 3 pm Saturday, May 6th.

Students have been working so hard on their state tests, so Mrs. Southerland and her students spent some time enjoying the sunshine today as a reward for their hard work.

Any 5th or 6th grader that is interested in applying for the RMS 2023-2024 Robotics Teams, now is your chance!
The student must turn in the application by MAY 23rd. You may turn them into the office secretary and they will turn in the applications to Coach Bender or Coach McClure. The paper application needs to be filled out and turned in BEFORE MAY 23rd.
After reviewing applications, candidates will be selected and notified if they have or have not made the team on MAY 26th. A parent meeting will be held on MAY 30th at 3:30 pm at RMS.

Attention Parents: The chess and Game Club is not meeting this Wednesday after school.

ACT Aspire testing is here! In honor of this week, the staff at RMS made encouraging posters to help motive their students during testing!

Mr. Daily’s STEM literacy class explored the Solar System using online simulators and models. Students observed celestial bodies, influence of the seasons, structures of planets, and the shear size of the Solar System.

ELA students have begun rotations to prepare for ACT Aspire. Mrs. Southerland’s question trail activity allows students to work collaboratively to navigate through questions similar to those on the grammar portion of the test. This kinesthetic activity kept students moving and engaged the entire time.

Please come out and help celebrate our retirees this year! Joey Fisher, Phyllis Riedmuller, and Joe Sitkowski will be celebrated in the Gale Room on May 15th from 3:30 PM - 5 PM

Attention Parents: There are extra copies of the yearbook available for $40. There are a limited number of copies, so this is on a first come first serve basis. To reserve your yearbook, bring $40 to the office or send it with your student to Mrs. Vail.

Congratulations to RMS's Mrs. Savannah Burden, 6th grade ELA teacher! She was chosen as our 2023 Teacher of the Year, and we are so proud of her! #galePROUD

Attention Parents: Cross Country tryouts have been rescheduled for this Friday, April 28th.

Whether it be audiobooks, ebooks, or physical books, it is important to foster a love for reading. Students are more likely to read when they are most comfortable, so Mrs. Southerland dimmed the lights, played ambient music, and students spent the day reading. Students then shared what they read through a Google form. #readlikeagale #galePROUD

Our students and staff are loving these positive notes from Americorp!

7th-Grade Math classes are play bunko and talking about probability! We love seeing students having fun when learning. #galePROUD

We have been about learning cells and systems in 6th grade science. Today, some of Mrs. Tripp's advisory students put together a giant puzzle of the human body. Learning can be fun, especially in advisory! #galePROUD

Motivational Monday! Thank you Americorps for spreading positivity to our students!

In recognition of DEAR day (Drop Everything And Read), students were encouraged to read their library books, magazines, and newspapers. We love seeing students find joy in reading! #READLIKEAGALE

Research and Reading.
Students have been working on an essay about zoos in ELA class. As they finish sections of their essay and wait for feedback in Mrs. Southerland’s class, they read their independent books quietly. We are #galePROUD
